Build Now, Pay Later: Commercial Project Financing in Tucson, AZ

Build now, pay later. Put the entire project on a business line of credit through Credit Key — the materials, the new HVAC units, the installation labor, the permits and the tax — up to $50,000 with a decision in minutes, and $250,000 to $1,000,000 for qualified businesses. For businesses only; Credit Key underwrites the company, not the owner's personal credit.

Business Financing

The whole project on one line of credit

Most contractor financing stops at the equipment. This does not. Because we self-perform the electrical, the HVAC and the site work under our own licenses, the financed amount is our invoice — the switchgear and wire, the rooftop units, the crews that install them, the permit fees and the sales tax on the job. One application, one approval, one monthly payment to Credit Key while the work gets built.

This is business financing only. It is built for property owners, general contractors, facility managers, developers and operating businesses that need a project done now and would rather keep their cash and their bank line for the business. Homeowners: our residential page and the cost calculator are the place to start. Credit Key is a separate company and the lender; Arizona Electrical Solutions is your contractor, not a lender. Terms are set by Credit Key and are subject to credit approval.

Materials & Gear

Switchgear, panels, wire and lighting

Service entrance equipment, panelboards, transformers, feeders, LED lighting and controls — the long-lead gear that usually has to be paid for before it ships is on the financed invoice, so the order goes in on day one.

Service & distribution →
HVAC Units

New rooftop units, splits and VRF

A mechanical change-out is often the single biggest line on a building's year. Finance the new units, the curbs and adapters, the refrigerant piping and the electrical that feeds them under our CR-39 and CR-11 licenses — one contract, one financed total.

Commercial HVAC →
Labor, Permits & Tax

The install, not just the box

Our crews' labor, the trenching and pads, engineering and permit fees, and the sales tax on the job are all part of the invoice Credit Key finances. You are financing a finished, inspected project — not a pallet of equipment you still have to get installed.

How It Works

From application to a funded, finished project

Four steps, and the first one takes minutes. Nothing here changes how we scope, permit or build the job.

1. Apply once, in minutes

Pre-qualify on Credit Key's secure site before or after you have a bid in hand. The application is digital, asks for the business's EIN and basic financials, and returns a decision on the spot for lines up to $50,000. It does not affect the owner's personal credit score.

2. We bid the whole scope

Send drawings, a scope or a description of the problem. We come back with a line-item bid for the complete project — equipment, labor, site work, permits and tax — the same bid we would give a cash customer. There is no financing surcharge on our side.

3. Approve the bid, we bill it through Credit Key

Once you accept the proposal, we send the invoice through Credit Key instead of asking for a deposit and progress checks. Credit Key pays us; the material gets ordered and the crews get scheduled the same way any funded job does.

4. Pay Credit Key over time

Net 30 at 0% interest, or spread it out — fees start at 1% a month after the first 30 days, with terms up to 24 months. Your payment schedule is with Credit Key; we never send you an invoice or carry a balance.

Two Tiers

Up to $50,000 instantly. Up to $1,000,000 for qualified businesses.

The instant decision covers a business line of credit up to $50,000 — enough for most service upgrades, lighting retrofits, single rooftop-unit change-outs and tenant-improvement electrical packages. That is the tier most of our commercial customers use, and the approval typically comes back while you are still on the page.

Larger projects — a full mechanical replacement across a building, a new service and distribution for an expansion, a multi-scope design-build — can be financed on lines from $250,000 up to $1,000,000. Those are available to qualified businesses with additional documentation and underwriting: Credit Key will ask for the extra financials and take a closer look. Apply the same way; the process simply has one more step.

  • Up to $50,000: instant decision, no paperwork beyond the online application
  • $250,000 to $1,000,000: qualified businesses, additional documentation and underwriting
  • 0% interest for the first 30 days (Net 30), fees from 1% monthly after that
  • Terms up to 24 months; no setup fees and no hidden fees
  • Underwritten on the business (EIN), not the owner's personal credit

Who It Is For

Businesses only — and the kind of project that fits

Credit Key underwrites companies: an EIN, annual business revenue of $40,000 or more, an owner or signatory on the application, and a business bank account for repayment. Sole proprietors without a federal EIN can document a state business registration instead. If the project is for a house you live in, this program is not the right tool — see our residential pages.

It fits the jobs that businesses put off because the check is large and the cash is working elsewhere: the panel that has been at capacity for two years, the rooftop units that limp through one more summer, the tenant build-out that has to open on a date, the site lighting the insurer keeps asking about. Finance the project, open on time, and pay it down out of the operating budget it was always going to come from.

  • Property owners and landlords upgrading service, lighting or HVAC across a building
  • General contractors financing our electrical or mechanical scope on a larger job
  • Restaurants, clinics, offices and retail replacing equipment before it fails
  • Developers and multifamily owners spreading site distribution and EV-ready parking
  • Facility managers who need the work done this quarter and the payment spread over the year

What Gets Financed

Everything on our invoice, from the rooftop to the switchgear

Because the electrical, the mechanical and the site work are all self-performed, the financed amount is the whole job. Two of the most common projects we finance:

Commercial rooftop HVAC units installed by Arizona Electrical Solutions in Tucson
Mechanical

Rooftop unit change-outs and new HVAC systems

The units, the crane day, the curbs, the refrigerant piping, the electrical feeds and the start-up — financed as one total instead of a deposit, a progress payment and a final check.

Commercial HVAC →

Commercial switchgear and distribution installed by Arizona Electrical Solutions
Electrical

Service upgrades, switchgear and distribution

New service entrance equipment, panelboards, transformers and feeders, the TEP coordination and the labor to phase it while the building stays open.

FAQ

Commercial project financing questions, answered

Who is actually lending the money?

Credit Key, a B2B lender that works with Arizona Electrical Solutions. Credit Key approves the application, sets the terms and collects the payments. We are your contractor: we build the project and Credit Key pays us for it. We do not extend account terms, we do not carry a balance, and we do not send invoices — your payment schedule is with Credit Key.

What can be financed — just the equipment?

The whole project. Our invoice includes the materials and gear, new HVAC units, our crews' installation labor, trenching and site work, engineering and permit fees, and the sales tax on the job, and that full invoice is what Credit Key finances. You are financing a finished, permitted, inspected project rather than a delivery of equipment.

How much can a business finance?

Lines up to $50,000 come with an instant decision from the online application. Larger lines, from $250,000 up to $1,000,000, are available to qualified businesses with additional documentation and underwriting. Your limit is Credit Key's to set, based on their review of the business.

What are the rates and terms?

Net 30 at 0% interest, then fees starting at 1% a month for longer terms, with terms up to 24 months. There are no setup fees and no hidden fees. Exact terms are set by Credit Key at approval and are subject to credit approval.

Is this available to homeowners?

No. This program is for businesses only — Credit Key underwrites the company on its EIN and business revenue. For a home panel upgrade, EV charger or AC change-out, see our residential pages and the free cost calculator.

Does applying affect the owner's personal credit?

No. Applying does not affect your personal credit score. Credit Key underwrites the business, which is one of the reasons owners prefer it to putting a project on a personal card or a home-equity line.

Can a general contractor use it for our scope on a bigger job?

Yes. A GC or an owner can finance our electrical, mechanical or underground scope on a project we are not otherwise carrying. Get pre-approved, have us bid the scope, and we bill that scope through Credit Key when you accept it.

What does it take to qualify?

Credit Key's published requirements: the applicant is an owner or signatory of the business, a U.S. citizen or resident of signing age, with a FICO score of 600 or above, annual business revenue of $40,000 or more, an EIN (or a state business registration for sole proprietors), and a business bank account for repayments. The decision is Credit Key's.
