Here is what each part of the scope actually involves — the work, what it means, and what our crews do, on commercial and industrial projects across Arizona.

Backfill & Compaction

  • Engineered backfill — We backfill trenches and excavations with the specified material — bedding, select fill, or flowable fill — placed to protect the utility and meet the design.
  • Compaction in lifts — We compact backfill in controlled lifts to the required density so the surface above will not settle.
  • Density testing coordination — We coordinate density testing with the geotech so the backfill is verified, not assumed.

Surface Restoration

  • Concrete and asphalt restoration — We restore concrete flatwork, curbs, and asphalt over the trench to match the existing surface and meet the jurisdiction's standards.
  • Landscape and site restoration — We restore disturbed landscape, gravel, and site surfaces so the area is left clean and finished.
  • Striping and markings — Where we cut pavement, we restore the striping and markings to match what was there.

Close-Out

  • Clean, finished hand-back — We leave the work area clean, restored, and ready to hand back — the part owners actually see and judge the job by.
  • Right-of-way sign-off — In the public right-of-way we restore to the jurisdiction's spec and carry the work through their final inspection.
