Power System Design

The backbone of the building's electrical system — sized, selected, and documented for today's load and tomorrow's expansion.

What We Provide

Power System Design — in detail

Here is what each part of the scope actually involves — the work, what it means, and what our crews do, on commercial and industrial projects across Arizona.

Sizing & Selection

  • Load calculations and service sizing — We calculate the connected and demand load and size the electrical service to carry it — with headroom for growth, not just the code minimum.
  • One-line and riser diagrams — We produce the one-line and riser diagrams that show how power flows from the service through every piece of gear.
  • Gear selection — We select switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and feeders that fit the load, the space, and the budget.

Equipment & Routing

  • Transformer, generator, and standby design — We design the transformers, generators, and automatic transfer that keep critical systems powered.
  • Voltage-drop and conductor sizing — We size conductors and raceways for voltage drop, heat, and the NEC, so feeders perform and pass inspection.
  • Utility coordination and service entrance — We coordinate with the utility on the service, metering, and point of connection, and design the service entrance to their spec and the NEC.

Where It Applies

Markets we serve

Commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal, and mixed-use projects — statewide, from our base in Tucson.

  • New construction
  • Service and capacity upgrades
  • Industrial and manufacturing
  • Healthcare and mission-critical
  • Commercial developments

The Design-Build Advantage

Designed, self-performed, and accountable

Because we self-perform across the trades and keep engineering in-house, our power system design work is constructable, coordinated, and delivered by one accountable team — with fewer hand-offs and fewer surprises.

Back to Electrical Engineering
  • Designed by the same firm that builds it
  • Constructability built into the drawings
  • Sized for real load and future growth
  • Long-lead gear identified early
